I completely agree DP when u left I just seemed to come here a lot less and it seems alot of the artists have slowed in submiting art but that is only my view

GRiVEN the thing about what u said is that hArtists is already its own thing with or without fan art it has its own style of working things and the people are GREAT! but since the fan art ban the energy just seems to have faded away im not sure why this is but its the way it looks to me

zab - it was the 10th, I remember specifically since I knew what day I accessed when the account was changed. I know it was the 10th. Regardless, I'm glad you came up to respond to me. Perhaps some day I will draw specific original art en masse, but it's numbers would be dwarfed by my current direction of fanart. If leechers were a big problem, fine, I can understand that. I woulda removed some of my art on my own if I had the chance, so that I can still show some of the original art I did do. That was the problem to me, that I didn't have the power to remove the art in question on my own. Or more like, I didn't have the chance since I wasn't able to notify you before you changed it. Plus, I would have been able to review the comments I got before I lost my status. What other artists have you removed from this site?

Ulta - I respect your viewpoint, but any art there, whether it be on WWOEC, DA, or here, is that there is always leechers who will repost art everywhere else. It's just a fact of life. I know that my art has been repeatedly stolen and used for in paysites. In fact, I know of a Danny Phantom paysite that consists nearly all of my artwork over there, without my permission. There are so many of them I don't even bother.

Fury - heh totally agreed there! I would do some more original works if people can inspire me enough.

Griven - well leechers as I said, are a fact of life. But it does make sense that they wouldn't visit as much if there aren't any fanart to look for. But then it would be a bit difficult to attract an audience unless you have a style that has wide appeal. Thanks for the support.

these people stole fanart from my DA and HA gfalelry without my permission!! i did not request them from being moved form the site, because they do not claim ownership.
but still the fact that they did rip off my site of fanart is not really honorable.

So yeah doing original characters does help out more your creativity, you are an amazing artist , but you have to explore it by other means then just known toon.

... just that it hasn't. The only thing it did bring the site are hordes of leechers who use mass-downloading tools to rape the site. My understanding of "attention" would be things like posting a constructive comment on artwork, or becoming active on the forums -- not setting a mass-downloading tool to work so that it downloads an artist's entire gallery, or posting comments like "draw more simpsons porn."

I've worked long and hard to get it into people's minds that this isn't WWOEC 2.0 and never will be. That has caused a portion of visitors to leave, but if that's the price, then I guess it can't be helped.

There is no bias against you. It was a simple, straight-forward procedure: You were told that your account was going to get demoted, you had three days to do something about it. Other artists were also told about this. They either uploaded some original content or left on their own.

You were even told that if you ever consider drawing original content, we would happily give you your artist status back. Do you really think that we'd tell you something like that if we wanted to get rid of you?

You had three days. You were told that your account would be demoted on July 9th, 2008. It was then reverted on July 12th. If you don't check your private messages often enough, that isn't our problem. PM is what we use to communicate with people on this site. If you find that you were being flooded by notifications, you could have turned them off by editing your profile.

I agree with you, I myself cant see why you had your account revoked becaurse of fan art. I know this site values its originality concept, but I mean, your fan art is awesome, and that your an asset to this site, but I think some fan art should be allowed, just not hordes of fan art artists.
